A darling presentation piece with antique woven basket containing various accoutrement ideal for your favoured doll tete a tete in the Bois de Boulogne, Paris!
The woven basket of rectangular form with handle to the lid, two latch closures to the front, solid wooden base (with indecipherable ink hand writing to the base) and four dowel feet supporting. Enclosed within is a matching antique white metal service including two plates, oval bowl, chamber stick (with candle), lidded pot (1 ¾” in height) and jug together with antique miniature, lidded, brass and copper chestnut roasting pan (4” in length), circular basket (2” in diameter) displaying three red fruits “fruits”. Enhancing the basket full of goodies is a linen table cloth and two matching napkins with hand embroidered detail and decorative fraying to the edges – still stitched together and clearly never been played with (folded tablecloth measures 4” square). An antique wool paisley rug in autumn tones, with a fringed decorative border to two edges (approx. 12” square) is also part of this set.
Overall all is in sturdy condition, basket measures approximately 6” wide, 3 ½ “ deep and 3 ½ “ in height, with one edge of the basket lid missing bound frame and a ‘hinge’ strung together with string. Flowers for decorative purposes only and not included.
