This turn of the century Gothic Revival styled armchair has been newly upholstered with man made leather looking seat and nail head trim. The seat fabric has the rich look and feel of coated leather and is as far from plastic as one can get. This was chosen for its neutrality, richness, and its durability.
The chair is a hard wood with a walnut stain. It has S-scroll stretchers at the front and turned at the back. The scrolling is repeated on the cresting rail. There is more turning on the ear, the style, and the legs. The back splat is caned.
The back is tall at 49 3/4" . The arms at their widest measure 23 1/4". The seat measures 18" wide x 19.5" deep.
The condition is very good. The seat is excellent as is the caning. Some light scratches here and there on the wood but nothing distracting.
