Needle case Umbrella form carved wood and leather.
An attractive, antique carved wood needle case or bodkin case featuring leather covering to the body with brass details, the handle and spike part look to be burl (burr) walnut. Dating to the last quarter of the nineteenth century and probably German or Austrian in origin.
Size: 11. 1/2" long x 7/8" diameter approximately.
Condition: Very Good - small area of loss to the brass ferrule at the bottom and a small flake chip to the tip. Also some light scuff marks to the leather. Please see all photographs and as ever I am happy to send more and answer any questions you may have.
