Robert Anning Bell 'The Music Score' Lithograph Print 1898.
A very good lithograph print of a young woman sat on an upholstered chair reading a music score, by the celebrated artist Robert Anning Bell.
Robert Anning Bell was an English artist, illustrator and designer. Studied at Westminster College of Art and the Royal Academy schools followed by time in Paris. From 1895 - 99 he was instructor at Liverpool University school of Architecture. In 1911 appointed head of design section at Glasgow School of Art and from 1918 - 1924 was professor of design at the Royal College of Art. He exhibited at the R.A., New English Art Club and the Royal Society of Painters in Watercolour. His work covered a variety of styles touching on re-Raphaelite to Art Nouveau and included classical religious images in designs for church stained glass and mosaics.
Size: 11" x 7.3/4" . Published by The Studio magazine fo Fine and Applied Arts. Printed on pale cream coloured quality stock. Signed in the plate and bearing the blind stamp of The Studio.
