Leeds Pottery Blue and White Transfer Dessert Plate 'Long Bridge Pattern' Pearlware circa 1790 - 8.1/4"
A very good quality blue and white transfer printed pottery dessert plate by the Leeds Pottery Co. of Yorkshire from about 1790.
A crisp, clear deep blue print in the pattern commonly 'Long Bridge', or sometimes 'two man scroll' finished with a pearlware glaze and bearing the impressed factory mark to the base. Size: 8. 1/4" diameter x 3/4" deep. Weight: 8. 1/2 oz 245 g. approximately.
Condition: Very Good - slight utensil marks to the front and three stilt marks to the rim (where the plates were stacked for firing in the kiln). Please see all photographs and as ever I am happy to send more and answer any questions you may have.
