Flow Blue Pitcher Jug Watteau Pattern New Wharf Pottery Co. 5. 5/8" Circa 1878 - 1894
A very good pitcher or jug in the popular Watteau pattern. This example made by the New Wharf Pottery Co. of Burslem in Staffordshire between 1878 and 1894, marked to the base and of hexagonal shape. The second of two slightly different sized pitchers by this maker I am offering in this pattern.
Size: Height = 5. 5/8" to top of handle, Width = 6. 1/2" from tip of spout to back of handle. Weight = 14 oz or 405 g. (all measurements approx.)
Condition: Excellent - some minor firing imperfections being the only things to note (including as with the other pitcher several pin head holes in the glaze). Please see all photographs and as ever I am happy to send more and answer any questions you may have.
