Rummer wine ale glass goblet, pair of nineteenth century.
A nice, very useful and substantial pair of Rummer's or ale glasses dating to the first half of the nineteenth century. Each with a ball knop and short plain stem, the large bowl simply decorated with slice cut panels, each with ground pontil mark . A lovely, tactile pair of glasses that fit comfortably in the hand and suitable either for beer, a large measure of wine or display. Size: 6" tall x 3. 1/4" across the top each. One weighs just over 8 oz and the other just over 9 oz.
Condition: Very Good, no chips, cracks or re-grinding. Each has occasional small air bubbles in the glass and one has an elongated tear drop in the stem. Both have age appropriate small scratches/signs of wear to the base.
