Presented here is a beautiful white (sometimes called milk glass) glass posy bowl. With a ground pontil mark to the base, this hand blown bowl is hand painted and gilded with decoration of flowers and swags. This piece dates to C1880 and was probably made in the Stourbridge area of England. Of a squat, bulbous form with four crimped in pieces to the rim it measures 3. 1/4" tall by 3. 3/4" at its widest and 3. 1/2" across the top (approximately).
Condition: A little light rubbing to the gilding but other than that excellent, with no chips or cracks.
