This is a Mid-Century tall and elegant porcelain vase by the famous Nabeshima Seizan-gama kiln 鍋島青山. This gorgeous tall beveled insert paneled vase is made of supreme Nabeshima porcelain with hundreds of years of history. It has four sculptured decorative feet. The alternating patterns on opposite sites are hand painted in the traditional three colors called Sansai 三彩 of red, blue and green in over glaze enamels. On one side is a phoenix with a long tale, and the other in floral patterns. As stated on their website, the pieces are hand painted to this day. This was a really fortunate find. It is in excellent condition no cracks or chips. It comes with the real original tomobako with the box. Both the kabin vase and the box are signed by the potter with his name and the kiln name reading Nabeshima Seizan 鍋島晴山 then Kabin vase and Seizan zo 晴山 and most likely signed by Master Potter Seizan whose translated information you will find below. We are not exactly sure of the age, in my opinion and from what i see on their site dates to about the 1960's so it is about 50 years old or so. A tall vase in excellent condition with no cracks or chips.
