The Second Sino-Japanese War from July 7, 1937 – September 9, 1945 was a military conflict fought primarily between the Republic of China and the Empire of Japan from 1937 to 1945. A beautiful and probably hard to find very decorative sake cup. This is a vintage WWII Japanese Imperial Army Sake cup, which was made as a commemoration of the triumphant return from the 2nd Sino Japanese War. On the upper side, " Shina Jihen Gaisen Kinen" is written. This is a commemoration of the triumphant return from the 2nd Sino Japanese War. It is beautifully decorated with over glaze enamels in thick chrysanthemum flowers and paulownia. As shown in the pictures, it's good condition with no chips and no cracks.
We also have some old artwork from this and an early 20th century war. We have two boxes of sake cups not posted, if you are a collector and interested let us know and we will post some if you let us know your preference. We have cups of all ages and from WWII.
