Japanese vintage fine white Porcelain set of five butterfly side dishes. Porcelain is commonly referred to as 'jiki' un Japanese. They are unmarked and the dealer in Japan did not know the maker, but most represent the Arita- yaki or modern Imari wares. This set is about 50 years old.
They are very nicely made by the artist in the shape of a butterfly with good work and shape, nice non-assuming detail. They are in excellent condition with no cracks, chips or repairs. It is a rare set to find and a very serious set of plates made by the specialist.
