This gorgeous Japanese Kyo-yaki glazed vase was made by the famous award-winning potter. Mitsuhiro Yamazaki. Mitsuhiro Yamazaki is a famous second-generation potter in Kyoto, see more we have shared from his bio page below. The vase is handmade and hand glazed. It is fine with beautiful colors in unusual shades green and blue splattered all in underglaze on a blue background. It is a tall and heavy vase. It is inscribed on the bottom with the artist mark. It is about 20-30 years old but like new. There are no cracks, chips or repairs. The crazing is intentional called 'Hibiyaki' in Japan, Crazing on a vitreous body such as porcelain is not a flaw or detriment.

Koyo Yamazaki Yutaka- I believe this is either his given name or name of store/ kiln.
He is a second generation potter Akira Yamazaki of Koyo born in Kyoto Gojo Slope as the eldest son, He graduated from Osaka University of Arts Department with a sculpture major.
