This Japanese vintage embroidered and bordered silk decorative panel in blue is vintage per the seller I collected two of these from. We believe it dates to the early 20th century or earlier. On a coral silk background beautiful rose and flowers and other Japanese motif such as an incense burner are hand embroidered in bright multicolored threads using satin stitches. The panel has a gold and grey brocade border. It is backed with silk. It can be framed and hung or used in another larger piece. The condition of the embroidery is excellent, there are no visible damages or imperfections aside rubbing in some spots to the black silk border surrounding the panel, please see the pictures. I think the two Japanese silk panels we have would look gorgeous hung together matted and framed. This one is just a little larger than the other Japanese piece. It is in very good condition, I lightly ironed it for the pictures and did not notice any issue.
