This Japanese vintage faux Jade and silver brooch or pin is one of six I collected in a group of vintage costume type jewelry from a lady in Japan. I do not know the age, but believe by appearance they range from the 1940's to the 1970's. This is a very pretty piece in excellent condition. I do not know what it is made from. The silver is probably plated as it is not painted anything. These type pins are used for everyday wear, including the office, or wedding accessories. It is in excellent condition no scratches and the pin works fine like new. This piece is about 1 1/2" or 3.81 cms in diameter.
