A delicate pair of Antique Clover earrings with 3 rose cut diamonds each, and 18 k gold (acid tested).
Victorian jewellery often included symbols. The Clover is a symbol of true love or a token of affection. These earrings may have been a love token gift to the the original wearer, whereby the generous gift giver was indicating great love and regard for the gift receiver.

The 3 leafed clover is a flat form, and set with three very pretty rose cut diamonds.
The full drop is 3/4 inch (18 mm). The clover dimensions are 1/2 inch high (12 mm) and 3/8 inch wide (10 mm).
The rose cut diamonds are bead set and estimated to be approximately 1.7 - 2 mm (1/16 inch) in diameter. They have a lovely sparkle, and good clarity.
There are no visible hallmarks, but the gold has been acid tested as 18 k gold. They are considered to be of Australian make, and possibly custom made.
The weight of the earrings is 2.2 grams.
