A beautiful Edwardian Pink Sapphire and Diamond Ladies ring. Circa 1910
The ring is a mixture of silver setting (925) for the gemstones and 14 k White Gold (hallmarked 14 k) for the band and structure of the setting. There is a 14 k yellow gold highlight line on either side of the pink sapphires.
There are 9 mid pink color sapphires which are all round cut. They are set in silver (925) claws in a continuous row. The central sapphire is estimated as 2.5 mm and the sizes taper to about 1.5 mm, for the end sapphires.
The 16 diamonds are set in silver in a ribbon like setting, and are a lovely embellishment to the pink sapphires.
The full setting is 9.5 mm or 5/12 inch North South. It is 22 mm or 11/12 inch across the finger.
This ring would make a lovely dress ring .
