A stylish Art Deco Era Dress ring, with marquise cabochon green chrysoprase and 6 diamonds.
Chrysoprase was a favored stone used in Art Deco jewelry for its bright green color. These are set in 14 k yellow gold (hallmarked 585) representing a floral spray.
Chrysoprase, Onyx, Coral and Jade were all popular in Art Deco jewelry, for their striking colors.
The 6 very good diamonds are round cut and bead set, in a ribbon like leaf formation. The diamonds are estimated in their setting to be between 1.8 mm and 2 mm in diameter. Their sparkle in artificial and bright natural light is wonderful.
The central cabochon Chrysoprase does have a shallow chip on its side, which is not obvious to the unaided eye, and doesn't detract from its beauty. The ring is a very pretty example of this era.
The ring size is: 7 (US, Canada); O (Australia, UK, Ireland, NZ); 55 1/4 (France); 17 1/4 (Germany, Belgium, Scandinavia); 14.5 (Italy); 14 (Japan, China, India); 15 1/4 (Switzerland).
The ring weighs: 2.3 grams
