An Arts and Crafts era stylized waterlily ring with salt water pearl.
This unique, handcrafted ring is made from 14 k green and rose gold (acid tested).
The lily pad forms an elegant collar for the pearl which is positioned as a waterlily flower. The lily pad is 14 k green gold on the upper face, giving a lovely color contrast to the creamy colored pearl. The underside of the lily pad collar is 14 k rose gold, along with the band, which terminates in "sticks" poking through the lily pad.
The cultured pearl is approximately 6 mm (1/4 inch), and the lily pad is 15 mm (2/3 inch) at its widest.
There are no hallmarks, but the jeweler's tool marks are still evident under the lily pad, where the pearl is secured. This is true to the arts and crafts movement, which believed in creating well made, hand crafted goods. In reaction to the increased mechanization of society over 120 years ago.
The ring size is: 8 (US, Canada); Q (Australia, UK, Ireland, NZ); 57 3/4 (France); 18 (Germany, Belgium, Scandinavia); 17 (Italy); 16 (China, Japan, India); 17 3/4 (Switzerland).
