An antique garnet, pink topaz and natural seed pearl ring.
This ring is a magnificent example of Georgian/ early Victorian jewelry. It is believed that the navette shaped plaque was originally a georgian earring. Which has been re purposed into a ring during Victorian times. This can be seen by the claws holding the navette plaque firmly in place
The gemstones are arranged in a Navette shaped cluster, centering around an oval faceted red garnet (3 x 4.5 mm). There are 6 round cut pink topaz (2 mm diameter), which range in color from mid pink to a darker pink.
There are 14 petite sized natural seed pearls arranged around the gemstones.
The condition of the ring is excellent.
The band is made from 12 k (acid tested), which has artfully, hand etched, chasing along the shoulders.
