The Etruscan period was a part of the Mid Victoria era, celebrating the aesthetics of the Roman and Greek empires. This lovely ring is a fine example of this era.
There is a pear shaped, natural deep blue sapphire, set into a 14k yellow gold Etruscan revival ring.
The sapphire is 5.5mm long and 3.5mm at its widest point (1/4 x 5/32 inch), and estimated to be about 0.3 carats.
It is bezel set, in a matching pear shaped plaque. With granulation, and rope detail at the shoulders, typical of the era.
The band is rounded and hallmarked 14ct and 585 for gold fineness. No makers marks are present. The condition is excellent for such an old ring.
The ring size is 6 (US/Canada) M (Aust/UK/NZ/Ireland) 52.75 (France), 16.5 (Germany/ Belgium/ Scandinavia), 11.5 (Italy), 12 (Japan/China/ India), 12.75 (Switzerland).
