Stunning, deep cut, glass centerpiece/fruit bowl from the American Brilliant Period (1876 - 1917). This piece measures approximately 8" in diameter and 4 1/4" tall. The design is that of hobstars and fans. Each Hobstar is set in a deep cut geometrical point shape divided by a deep crossbar with a splayed fan. The rim is smooth with the thickness measuring just over 1/4" thick. No makers mark. There are small nicks throughout the cut sections as well as a couple on the bottom in the starburst, all common in a piece of this age. Other than those described there are no other chips or cracks in this piece. There are a couple of utensil marks on the bottom. Feet appear to be intact, I could not see or feel any chips or cracks. This piece is in wonderful condition for its age.
