This is a Lovely Victorian era Geode agate brooch featuring a beautiful polished stone . The Stone is claw or prong set & secure . The mount tests for a low grade silver and features an original C Clasp in good working order. This brooch also features an additional mount so it may be worn as a pendant. In good vintage condition. Measures approx. 1.5" by 1 3/4" and weight = 22 grams. Excellent Quality !
Agate Geodes are essentially rock cavities . The Interior can contain Quartz Crystals Chalcedony deposits and or Amethyst Crystals or Jasper , as well as minerals such as Calcite.
