Interesting to Note : The BBC's "Antiques Road Show" TV Program once appraised a scarf that was similar if not identical many yrs ago and this is what I found: Appraisal = $700.00 and $1,200.00 Izaak Walton & his world famous book which contained the art and craft of sport fishing titled 'The Complete Angler" which was stated to be at one time the 3rd most popular book in the English language . On this scarf you will see the fishing details and the themed that were present in the book.
Mr. Walton an Englishman wrote about the subject of sport fishing in Britain C. 1600s. It is now said that many of the descriptions of bait, lures and names of fish are no longer used by the fishermen of today and found to be a tad if not amusing to todays modern angler .
