A Lovely quality Knights Templar fob dates early 1900's era. It features a Maltese cross with black onyx inlaid which shows age appropriate wear and random chips. Featuring a cross crucifix crown symbol. The crown features 3 tiny jewels perhaps diamonds or white sapphires and the cross features rose cut garnets or perhaps rubies with one missing and 6 present. I have not had this fob tested for gold . The Around the cross and crown states in black enamel In Hoc Signo Vinces (is a Latin phrase meaning "In this sign you will conquer" ). The back shows the letters KSHTWSST with age appropriate wear to the white enamel and the center is blank and shows scratches and wear with a patina and shiny area where the scratching has occurred. This "Keystone" symbol in a circular fashion is from the capitular degrees of free masonry. This symbol is that of a man that was a Royal Arch Mason as well as a Master Mason = active in his Masonic Blue Lodge.
The top of the fob features a Medieval Helmet which moves back and forth freely and mount is etched. Age appropriate wear and patina. Measuring about 1 3/4 " by 1 inch. Weight 12 grams.
