Gorgeous old European cut diamond engagement ring dating to the early 20th century. This ring is bezel set with a bright old cut diamond in the centre. Around this diamond is a slender square frame which is adorned with milgrain to make it sparkle. Off-set is a scalloped edge square halo of small old cut diamonds. This design is stunning and incredibly eye-catching! The gap between and centre diamond the outer halo allows each wonderful part of this ring to be seen and appreciated. The band is narrow and gold. Circa Edwardian era, 1900 - 1910s, British in origin.
Diamonds: centre old European cut of approx 3.25 mm, 0.12 carats. 16 smaller diamonds of approx 1.2 mm each total 0.16 carats together. Total of 0.28 carats, G / H colour, VS clarity as calculated within the limits of the mounting.
Stamped 18ct PLAT. Professionally tested and assessed as 18 carat yellow gold with the diamonds set into a platinum top.
