Exquisite 19” Bru Jne R, Closed Mouth with Marked Body

What a show stopper this absolutely early gorgeous 19” Bru Jne R is, with her fabulous paperweight eyes and almost smiling closed mouth. This is one of the prettiest Bru Jne R’s I have ever seen. I was so tempted to keep her for myself. This beauty stands 19” tall with incredible blue paperweight eyes, surrounded by finely painted upper and lower lashes, mauve shadow and delicate feathered brows. She has a delicate and pale closed mouth (the later Bru Jne R’s have brighter red colored lips) with the desired white space between her lips. Her bisque is exquisite and the highest quality with delicate coloring. She is incised BRU Jne R 8. There are no hairlines or repairs to her bisque head. There is a tiny surface scratch in the making on the back of her head near the marking.
She is on her original marked Bru Body. This beautiful French composition and wood body is wonderful with its original finish. There is some age wear to the surface and some surface age crazing on her torso. Please see pictures.
This fabulous French Bebe is wearing a gorgeous French couture dress made of antique pink silk brocade, antique trims and lace. It is truly a French masterpiece created by an expert seamstress. The dress is fully lined with a fabulous pale pink silk rosette at the waist. The wire hat is incredible with antique lace, trim and silk chiffon. It has a beautiful pale pink plume. She is wearing her original French underwear and I don’t believe it has ever been removed from her body. She has her original shoes that have replaced soles. She has cotton knit socks.
I cannot express how gorgeous this Bru Jne R is, she will be the star of any collection and can hold her own against a Bru Jne. What a face!
