A lovely bold Edwardian Art Nouveau enamelled sterling silver(.925) pendant. The center is a raised disc of mother-of-pearl which accents the piece. An Art Nouveau designed multi colored enamelled panel surrounds the centerpiece. The enamel is beautifully intact. Colors of blue, green, yellow and brown. The pendant is suspended from a sterling silver ribbon bow pin. Please examine the photo of the pin reverse. The back portion of the left side of the bow has come away from the center knot. The pin is strong and it is not visible from the front. The piece can be worn with confidence as a brooch. It closes with a C clasp. The pendant can be removed from the pin to be worn as a pendant. The shield is 1 1/2 inches L by 1 1/8 inch W. It is English hallmarked for Birmingham, letter date l, 1908-9, maker J.F., James Fenton. The original leather bound jewel case is included with this wonderful pendant. This rare and wonderful pendant is 110 years old example of Edwardian Art Nouveau.
You will love it and be responsible to preserve it for generations to come. Fresh from my English treasure vault.
