This Art Deco ashtray shows the elegant architectural style the period was known for. The base is made of jadeite glass, which is a stunning pop of color. A bronze Borzoi dog lounges at the top, seeming to smile. He is attached by one screw on the base. The piece measures 5 1/2 inches by 5 inches and stands 2 1/4 inches tall. The glass is in perfect condition. The dog has a crack near his front paws, as shown in the pictures. The dog cold be removed to repair the crack from the bottom. It is not noticeable unless you know it is there. It is still a beautiful and quite useable piece. It could be used as a pin tray, coaster, change holder, or bon bons, or for it’s original purpose.
