When you press the acorn finial, it opens on hinges to reveal four 3 inch perfume bottles topped by exquisite openwork wrapped stoppers. Although the piece is unmarked, the skilled workmanship is evident. The perfume bottles are marked with an intersecting HP, indicating that they were made by Pouchet et du Courval glass company of France between 1930 and 1940. The piece measures 8 inches tall and 4 and a half inches in diameter. It is quite heavy at 2 and a half pounds. The pineapple is in very good condition, with the only defect being some missing dore on the edge of the inner surface. One of the perfume bottles is cracked, and one has a stuck stopper.
