Our favorite English sterling silver bangles are those with corset, button or lace cuff, and buckle themes. This antique English sterling silver bangle is in the form of a buttoned-cuff. It has a push-in tongue and groove closure (which fits securely).
Pairing a heavy silver linked Albert watch chain or collar necklace with a silver buckle or buttoned cuff can transform jeans/tee or add a bit of edge to a black cocktail dress.
DIMENSIONS & DETAILS: The bangle is sterling silver (tested).
It is approximately 1.28 inches or 32 mm tall/wide with an inside diameter of 2.2 inches or 55 mm by 1.8 inches inches. The inside circumference is approximately 6 1/2 inches. It should fit of wrist 6 1/4 or smaller.
PERIOD & HALLMARKS: Victorian, not hallmarked.
CONDITION: It is in good antique condition. There are signs of wear and use commensurate with age: small surface scratches and a few very shallow dent/dings on the back half of the bracelet, which are not very noticeable (see images). A small portion of the trim is missing, however it looks like a purposeful part of the design.
