A beautiful coat for a doll. Made of silk faille, it has a princess-like silhouette. There is a velvet collar and velvet cuffs and a full lining except for the sleeves. Hand and machine sewn. Sleeves have shoulder darts for that pretty pouf so popular during the late Victorian/early Edwardian era. A kick pleat center back assures Dolly her stride will not be hampered while she takes her promenade along the avenue. Cuffs fold so the arm length is adjustable. There is no closure along the front opening, and there never was. Easy enough to add a snap, hook and eye or buttons with loops. All is in strong, sturdy condition with not a thing wrong with the fabric such as dry rot, discolor, moth nibbles, rips or tears. There are a few spots of age that I have not tried to remove. They are along the side 3/4 of the way down toward the hem. Approximate measurements: chest 13"; waist 14"; hips full; shoulder to shoulder across back 5"; center back collar seam to hem hem 10 1/2". Shown on a doll about 16 1/2" tall. Free Shipping to USA address, compliments of the house.
