From the Hudson Valley in NYS, a delightful homemade vintage trade sign advertising brown eggs. Used at a small farm market, c1940-50s. Plywood painted in what is probably lead based paint, as it has weathered well, considering the sign was hanging outside in the elements. Original hanging chain is still attached, although it is in two pieces. We hung the ends of both pieces on a single nail. New owner has the choice of doing what we did, or adding a joining link to the existing chain or replacing the chain. Lots of charm in a simple piece. Hand cut and painted. A shade over 28 1/2" high; 25" wide; 1/2" thick. Good sturdy condition, you can hang it inside or out with confidence. Please take a moment to give a good look at our photos; they are important to the description.
