These are four wooden quill bobbins from old textile mills. Two of them still have yarn and thread around them. Both are 8" long, the longest is 10", and the last one is 6 1/2". They were first seen during the industrial revolution at the end of the 19th century. They are different sizes because different textile mills would have different machines, requiring different bobbin sizes. They are in excellent condition.
