This is a very nice set of three canisters from the 1940's, made by the Ransburg Company of Indiana, USA. The company was founded in 1911 in Indianapolis.

The canisters are made of metal in a yellow color with a hand painted chanticleer (rooster) pattern. The colors on these canisters are wonderful. There is very little wear on these very utilitarian items. The model is #236. At the bottom there is the embossed mark of the company. It reads Ransburg Genuine Handpainted, Indianapolis, Made in the USA. This mark could be found on items made between 1930's and 1950's.

The largest canister is 8"H with the lid on, the second one is 7"H with the lid on and the third is 6"H with the lid on as well. I measured to the lid without including the knob.

The set in in great condition with very little wear.
