This is an exquisite hand hammered 800 silver dish in the form of a shell made by Missiaglia. Gioielleria Missiaglia is still in business in Venice and is one of the oldest jewelry and silver makers in Italy still owned by the same family. The bowl measures 9 1/4 inches deep by 8 3/4 inches wide by about 3 inches high and weighs 362 grams. It has the sweetest shell feet and pretty ribbed pattern and it is marked with the Italian silver mark, Missiaglia, 800 and a lion mark. We have not tried to polish it but we will if you would like us to. Thank you very much for visiting The Moody Carpenter and please let us know if we can answer any questions.
