This is a sweet, pretty sterling silver coin holder/purse and rouge & powder compact combination signed WHSCO which is the signature for William H. Saart before it was Saart Bros. The front and back are both embossed with floral & acanthus leaf designs and both have a circle for a monogram that has not been inscribed. Inside are two coin holders (one for dimes and one for nickles) and a round rouge holder that opens to reveal a powder holder. The clasp holds tightly and the hinge works fine but there are some small dents and other signs of use on both sides. We have hung it on a 24 inch serpentine sterling silver chain from a loop on the top of the compact. The entire piece weighs 56 grams and the purse measures 2 3/16 inches wide and 3 3/4 inches high.
