Now just in time for the holidays here for sale is this lovely little German Santa Claus in a wooden stick sleighing pulled by a reindeer. The reindeer is paper mache covered in felt with soft metal antlers in brown with paper harness and metal brads to hold it together the legs are wooden, he has little glass eyes. The Santa is paper mache with felt robe in the colors of red with white trim. The sleigh is covered in snow made of little wooden logs and wood; the chains are the reins which lead to the sleigh it is not marked but definitely made in Germany around the turn of last century approx. 1910. The wheels on the platform are tin . Santa has a bunny fur beard and his face is nicely detailed. This is a really cute diminutive size great for a christmas garden or to go with some putz figures. The wooden base measures 10 inches long and 2 inches wide , the height is 4 inches to the top of the reindeers head, antlers.
