Here is a wonderful very early Jointed mohair Teddy bear with a very long snout. I think it is either an Early German bear made by Bing or Strunz. He has had a lot of love over the years but remains a respectable teddy, He measures 10 inches in height has 70 percent or so of his original mohair. His right hand pad is covered in old material his left is stitched from losing his stuffing and the feet are good but both have a hole in them . This is a wonderful antique teddy bear. He is fully jointed. His head does not rotate because someone stitched it but arms and legs move smoothly and he could be restored slightly if someone wanted. His eyes are shoe button dating him to the early 1900s approx 1909. He has a bit of a possum look but most definitely a teddy bear. His floss stitched nose has only remnant remaining but again anyone handy and bit clever could do as they wish. Each appendage came with five stitched claws not all present. He is priced according to condition and is still a formidable teddy bear with oodles of charm. Don't miss him.
