If you're an accessories lover, you'll want this one! This is a combination lipstick holder (still with lipstick inside) and mirror - it folds down into a convenient purse size. The domed mirror case is enameled in black, and decorated with applied goldtone filigree and faux (probably plastic) coral and turquoise round and marquis cabochons. The lipstick holder is marked "SCHILDKRAUT PROD CORP, DISTRIBUTOR, NEW YORK, NY." This lipstick / mirror accessory is in excellent condition, with the exception of the interior of the lipstick holder, which (as it still has the original lipstick in it) has some green discoloration and grime.
The lipstick holder also has an imprinted utility patent, no. 1439749, the drawing for which (from the USPTO) may be seen in the photo above. The patent was issued in 1950 to Helene and Tamara Schildkraut. Because of the date on the patent, as well as the style of the case, I would place this mirror / lipstick combo in the 1950s, and at any rate no later than the mid-1960s. The only Schildkraut I was able to locate in Trademarkia was Schildkraut Giftware Corporation; its trademark was dead as of 1983.
