Presenting for your consideration: a mod vintage fish pendant necklace signed Hollycraft. Its body is composed of round and oval disks in a textured, raised nipple design, edged in a rope pattern, and enameled in a rainbow of pastel colors. The disks are encircled in a cast bead outline, with additional beads filling the spaces between the disks. The entire piece is finished in antiqued goldtone, with a deep blue bezel-set rhinestone for the fish's eye. The textured back is stamped "Hollycraft," and you will note that the fish was cast so that it could be either a brooch or a pendant (there are two foundations for a pin back). The pendant measures 4" long and 1-5/8" wide, and has a 21" gold-tone chain with a round springring clasp. The necklace is in excellent condition.
Hollycraft went out of business in the 1970s, and judging by the design, I would say this fish necklace is from the late 1960s or early 1970s.
Note: some versions of this piece appear with rhinestones, rather than metal inserts.
