Absolutely smashing mid-1950s Napier textured goldtone parure - necklace, bracelet and earrings - in a combined flower (necklace, earrings) and foliate motif (bracelet). Die-stamped, gold-plated floral / foliate findings are combined to form, in the necklace and earrings, a flower chain (with high polish centers), and in the hinged bracelet, an overlapping multi-lobed leaf motif. The double-blossom earrings have unusual double-wide paddles. Excellent condition! The bracelet is marked "(C) NAPIER" on the foldover clasp; the necklace is marked (on the hook) "NAPIER (C);" the earrings are marked "NAPIER PAT PEND."
The bracelet may be seen on page 247 of "The Napier Co. - Defining 20th Century American Costume Jewelry" by Melinda L. Lewis. Also shown is a similar necklace, plus earrings, in more of a daisy motif, using the same die-stamped floral findings, but paired with flattened faux pearls. Clearly, that set and this parure were offered for sale as part of a design line, and were somewhat mix-and-match (i.e., the bracelet would go with either necklace / earring set).
