This brooch dates from the 1940s or thereabouts; it's made from heated, pressed moonglow plastic, with over-painted details. The bird's body is a pearlized white; the wings are a pastel moonglow blue. Both wings and tail, as well as beak, have painted details, in black, white and red. The pin back is glued-on plastic, with a plastic "C" clasp (the pin itself is metal). Measures 3" across, and is in very good to excellent condition, with some age patina. The "C" clasp works well.
