Presenting a Cadoro memory wire dog-collar style necklace, adjustable to pretty much any size neck. The necklace/collar portion is triple-strand black matte beads - plastic, fortunately, else this collar would be a heavyweight, not a lightweight - and the bow is wired with the same black beads. A center black matte square faceted glass stone forms the center knot, framed in goldtone, with rhinestone accents. Perfect for evening wear - it will 'tux' any evening dress or suit you own!
Condition: good to very good . . . the bow tie knot was missing a black matte rhinestone - I have put in a replacement (some photos are pre-replacement). Other than that, the metal parts show an age patina that does not affect wear. The memory wire still has plenty of memory! I had trouble keeping it open long enough to take the 'expanded' picture, above. The Bow is 1.75" wide and 4" across; the band portion is 3/4" wide. I can't open it well enough to give you length, but at full expansion, the inside diameter is 4.5".
According to the Illusion Jewels web site, Cadoro was founded by actor Steve Brody, along with Dan Steneskieu, in New York. In operation from about 1945 to the 1980s. Stylistically, I would say this collar is from the 1980s.
