This is a really fab dress clip, coming to you from the 1930's-1940's. It tests Shimichrome positive for Bakelite. The clip is not quite butterscotch or apple juice, but a shade somewhere in-between. It measures 2 in long and 1 and 3/4 in wide. It is in the shape of a hexagon, with the top three sides being shorted, and the lower three being elongated.

The clip is very heavily carved, being a floral motif. It features an offset five petaled flower, with a raised "bead" center. The rest of the carving sweeps outward, resembling leaves. The reverse has a riveted clip, in the usual pointed shape, with five tiny "claws", to adhere to clothing material. The clip is 1 and 1/2in long.

This dress clip is in excellent vintage condition and would look terrific on a navy, red, or being outfit. You can even ornament a clutch hand bag with it! Tres chic!
