This is a beautiful Lustern brooch made of 12K gold fill and Carved Peking Glass with simulated Pearls. It is Art Deco in design and oval in shape. The peking glass is set in a gold metal frame and surround by twenty 2 mm cream colored faux pearls. There is a loop on the back so that it can also be worn as a pendent. It marked on the back Lustern 1/20 12 KT gold with all stones being prong set. It measures 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" with a straight back pin which ends in a safety clasp. Excellent vintage condition with no peeling to the pearls. Circa 1940's.
Lustern was a trademark of the Louis Stern Co. based in Providence, RI 1871 - c.1950. This would be a beautiful addition to any jewelry collection!
