This a wonderful grouping from the Granada Collection, coming to you in its original box! It is comprised of a 22 in necklace, matching clip back earrings that are 1-7/8" long, and a lapel/hat pin, which is 3-1/4" long. All pieces are done in gold tone metal.
The necklace features three festoons, which have tear drop shaped, black, Lucite, stones. These are edged in rope motif gold tone metal, which sequels into a plain, tent shaped top, embellished with bezel set, round white rhinestones. There are two of the rhinestones on each of these. Between the festoons are incised, open weave, representations of leaves, which have a brushed texture. These are accented with the same kind of rhinestones, as described above. This decorative part of the necklace, on each side of same, gives on to flattened, oval links. These terminate in a hook style clasp.
The earrings reflect the necklace's design by incorporating, in each, the same black Lucite stones, with the same border, and accenting white rhinestones. They also have a swirl which is the same as the represented leaves.
The lapel/hat pin has a single cabochon black Lucite stone, in the top. Surrounding this is a heart shaped swirl, which is open, and then topped with a smaller one, with a round, white, rhinestone in the center. The clasp on the end is again a heart shape, open at the sides, with the white rhinestone.
The necklace has an oval, metal hang tag, imprinted AVON. The back of the necklace has an oval cartouche stamped J. M. Barrera for Avon. The same cartouche appears on the back of each of the earrings. These pieces are listed in "Identifying Avon Jewelry" by Sandra Sturdivant on page 17.
