These pieces are just straight up glam! The brooch and the clip back style earrings are done in silver tone metal, with the back of the pin having been japanned, at some time. The pin is 2 and 1/4 inches wide, while the earrings are 1 and 1/4in wide.
The pin features three, 3/4 in long, oval, grey, faux pearls. These are in the baroque style of "pearl". They are dog tooth prong set. The center boasts a large, four prong set, white, chaton. In between the faux pearls and the center stone are three slightly smaller, prong set, white, chatons.
Between the three faux pearls are three sets of a center navette, flanked by two tear drop stones. All of these are prong set and the tear drops are open backed. Looking down on the pin, it appears to be a swirl.
On the reverse of the brooch, it is clear to see that it was japanned, but with time, some of it has rubbed off. There is a straight pin, with a rolled safety catch clasp. All the stones are closed back, excepting the tear drops.
The earrings mirror the pin in that there is a center, round, grey baroque style, faux pearl. This is half bordered by four, round, white, rhinestones. Coming off one side of the border is a white navette, while the opposite side has a larger, grey tear drop. There is a matching tear drop, opposite, along with two, round, white rhinestones and a clear and a grey navette. While not having been japanned, the earrings have patina, as well.
Excepting the japanned finish rubbing off, these are pieces are in very good vintage condition, coming to you from the the 1950's. Check out the pink tint to the white stones, as you move them through light! Put this set on and "pearl" on!
