This exquisite Donald Stannard necklace features twelve strands of pools of light glass beads in a torsade design. It measures 17 inches long with a large ribbed bold gold tone metal "J" hook chunky closure. The glass beads measure 6mm each. The back of the clasp is hallmarked, "Donald Stannard". This vintage Donald Stannard necklace can be worn loose or twisted into a torsade.
Designer Stannard was an assistance to Kenneth Jay Lane before starting his own costume jewelry company in 1975. He went on to make bold and spectacular jewelry for soap operas, evening dramas, Broadway shows, and movie stars in the eighties.
