This is a lovely example of an Edwardian era hat pin, defined by its 10 and 1/2 in long, steel shank. It has a glass head, which is 1 inch in circumference. The glass has a rich burgundy background, dotted with lighter colors of lavender, rose, and pale green. It is attached by a cup gold tone metal finding, with a tiny bead finishing it off on the head. This hat pin is in pristine antique condition. It will flatter your largest head gear!
Take this one home with confidence that it is authentic and in excellent antique condition. It emanates from a decades long collection and will be a great addition to a new one.
This hat pin is from Charlotte's personal collection, which was developed over three decades. She has belonged to the American Hat Pin Society for decades, to continue to learn and associate with fellow collectors. It is time for some of these treasures to move on to new houses!
