Vintage Sunny Yellow Bakelite Necklace

You will be so sunny in this brilliant yellow Bakelite (tested) necklace! It is composed of round beads, which are effectively rondels for the larger barrel shaped ones, imparting a great chunky/textured look. The barrel beads range in size from 5/8" to 1-3/4" long. while the round ones range in size from 13mm to 25mm in size. The necklace also has some trillion shaped Bakelite beads which measure 1/2" long. The beads of the piece are separated by knotted string.

The necklace slips easily over the head, measuring 42-1/2"in long. While Bakelite was a favored material for jewelry in the 1930's and 1940's, this versatile piece is a look that suits the revival 1960's clothing so popular now, especially a poor boy shirt with bell bottoms!
